THE MISSION of the Santa Barbara High School Computer Science Academy is to expose a diverse range of SBHS students to computer science and computer-related careers through a series of engaging courses, extracurricular activities and outreach events, so that graduates will have a core literacy in Computer Science that provides broad opportunities for pursuit of post-secondary education and as members of the 21st century workforce.
THE ROLE of the SBHS Computer Science Academy Foundation Board is to help realize the Academy’s mission by providing administrative and financial oversight and support. The SBHS Computer Science Academy Foundation is a 5013c not-profit entity (tax ID 46-4148527) that helps raise money for the CS Academy, with 100% of the funds going directly to support programs. The Foundation Board represents the parent arm of the Academy. Foundation Board members contribute their professional expertise, knowledge and skills, share their local community ties and provide guidance to help shape, support and enhance the programs and experiences that the Academy offers.
